The latest performance data published by the Department for Education reveals the college’s apprenticeship achievement rate at 76.8% is second in the country out of more than 150 GFE colleges.
The National Achievement Rate Tables (NART) also showed BAC’s education and training results were rated as the best in County Durham and the third best in the whole region.
As we chronicled the daily life of Bishop Auckland College, its specialist engineering training centre South West Durham Training, its Durham Gateway alternative provision service and the college nursery, our greatest enjoyment came from sharing the truly transformational journeys students take – from school leavers to mature students returning to education.
